Este 1 y 2 de Mayo La Galería en el Taller Mecánico gozará de intensa actividad exhibiendo los trabajos de Ana J. Haugwitz, la nueva residente del Barrio de Tampiquito, y el Kick Collective proviniente de tierras canadienses; actividad paralela a La Segunda Feria de Oficios de la Colonia Tampiquito que sirve como plataforma para la promoción de los oficios y negocios del barrio, ayudando a fortalecer la esencia de la vida de barrio y generar interacción e integración entre la comunidad.

Ana J. Haugwitz colombiana que radica en Zurich, Suiza, pasó más de mes y medio conviviendo con la gente y los obreros del barrio de Tampiquito. Su estadía dió como resultado objetos creados en co-autoria con los artesanos del barrio. Éste fin de semana presentará Tierra de Princesas, Príncipes, Reinas, Reyes y Sapos. Al mismo tiemp el Kick Collective presentará obras de: Abby Fong, Conzo, Tim Rechner, John Boletta y Jeff Craig.

Rescatando joyas guardadas del ‘09, presentamos "There are false problems more than there a are false solutions for true problems or the first time is already the second time or being must have a fundamental lapse of memory." Exposición que presentó Proyectos Monclova en colaboración con Nrmal y El Narval el pasado 9 de Septiembre en La Galería en el Taller Mecánico. La exposición contó con el performance del Colectivo El Resplandor, proporcionando la cantidad necesaria de ruido, misticismo y mezcal para hacer de todo una experiencia formidable que fue directo a los libros de Nrmal.

There was a crazy man sitting underneath a shadow, he spoke to himself and had a dirty beard and filthy long hair. He also had a skinny street dog, no breed, with spots. The man wore a red pin on his dirty brown shirt that stood out, it said: "Party with me, I' m drug free". I remembered that my cousin Rosa had that pin when we went to Mazatlán, it was attached to her purse. The man was biting a straw and spoke out but only the dog paid attention to him. I was sitting in front of him on the other side of the sidewalk, waiting for a girl to come out of a computer shop, we were, I could say, going through one of those wild moments that all, or almost all of us have had. A cousin of mine was staying in my place, I preferred to leave him alone, give him some space. Once, I lent him my pick-up and he left a tape inside the stereo, Side A: Pantera, Side B: Backstreet Boys. He barely talked to us, the day he arrived he heard that one of my sisters spoke German and asked her to translate Rammstein lyrics into Spanish, but after that he only said, good afternoon and good night.
